Hi all, I’ve refurbished a 750 Desmodue for a friend and am having problems with the carbs. The synchro mechanism has been correctly set, carbs are as clean as they can be, diaphragms are good, cables are new & free. The butterflies snap back cleanly. So, when trying to get the bike to idle, if I slacken the idle screw until it has no influence, the bike won’t idle but it revs freely and drops back quickly. I need to turn the idle screw quite a way in to be able to get it to idle but when I blip the throttle, it revs to 3000+ rpm and is reluctant to return to idle. We’ve looked at EVERYTHI ..read more

I have a 2005 620ie Monster. It has a plastic petrol tank. When I bought the bike, 10 years ago, it had pimples around the filler area - micro blisters. They never got better or worse and I paid them no attention. Recently it has developed a problem with a very slightly leaking petrol tank. I have enquired with two companies who make / supply liners or sealers and they both wanted to know what what material it was made from? I do not know! I have a Nero/Grey 2023 Streetfighter V4S which has a matt finish. Incredibly foolishly, I took it upon myself to remove a very sticky (silver) sticker from the fuel tank which, although there is no glue residue, has left a perfect rectangular mark which has left me bitterly regretting my actions! Does anyone have any suggestions? I am going to ring the dealer next week to see if the stickers can be ordered from Ducati either in the UK or from Italy so that I can replace it.
