My name is Johanne Couture, and I was born in Rouyn Noranda, PQ. My parents moved to Ottawa when I was two years old. That is where I grew up and went to school and college. My dad was a heavy machinery mechanic.
He came home from work smelling like diesel. My mother jokes that I spent too much time crawling around his work boots as a toddler, and that’s why diesel runs through my veins. I have always loved trucks. My dad had worked in a truck dealership at one point when I was 5 or 6, and a picture of me sitting in the driver’s seat of a customer’s truck left a lasting impression on me at tha ..read more

I was the firstborn of 3 children to Irvin and Mary-Ann Carson. I was born on March 27, 1974. I have two sisters, Collette Carson and Louise Sroka. We were born and raised on a 3000-acre farm just north of Maidstone, Saskatchewan. We all attended school in Maidstone and considered that our hometown even though we grew up on the farm. Most of my childhood saw me heavily involved in 4H, along with my parents and sis ..read more

He is also a motivational speaker, teaches photography and he is a great ambassador for the industry. This is Joe’s story:
My name is Joe Hogg, and I was born and raised on a farm just 12 miles north of Lougheed, Alberta. Growing up on the farm was great. It allowed me to do and see things other kids never get to do or see. I have two older brothers, but by th ..read more

My name is Richard Hughes, and I was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, in March of 1984. I grew up with my parents and younger sister on our dairy farm west of Wetaskiwin. My parents owned two quarter sections of land where they grew crops, and they rented another two-quarters for pasture. On the farm, I learned the value and rewards of hard work. I also developed a deep love of the land, equipment and livestock.
One of my first memories is being in the barn helping Dad feed and milk our one hundred cows. We had to milk them twice a day, which was fun. However, I wasn’t very fond of cleaning the ba ..read more
