The balance between medical cases and touches of personal storylines continues. The interns were mostly endearing during Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 Episode 7, but the connections to the medical cases were most compelling. If it slipped anyone’s mind that the new batch of interns has shades of the OG interns, then this installment was a reminder of how much Simone Griffith is her class’ Meredith Grey. Most of the season has focused on the interns simply navigating life at Grey Sloan. And sometimes, we don’t delve into their personal elements nearly as much as we should. The balance b ..read more

Dressing well for warm weather is no cakewalk. Dressing well for hot weather is downright difficult. In fact, we’d go as far as to say that prioritizing both style and sweat-prevention is enough to bring any man to the brink during the warmer months. Even the professionally stuffy organizers of Royal Ascot have suggested they relax the race day’s stifling dress code this year – which, in the Royal Enclosure, would normally require black or grey morning dress, including a waistcoat, tie and top hat at all times. Even if your summer plans don’t involve a sweaty flutter on the gee-gees you still ..read more

After its massively successful streaming release last November, Emerald Fennell’s film Saltburn dominated cinematic discourse for months. A 2006-set period piece that starts as a 21st-century Brideshead Revisited and morphs into an ironic erotic thriller, its carefully honed aesthetic, plot twists, and off-kilter sexuality divided critics and audiences. Some lambasted the film for lacking subtlety; others admired its dark humor and transgressive sexuality. The “Saltburn discourse,” though, left out some of the film’s key features: Fennell embeds a complex set of influences, and conscious rif ..read more
