Epcot was a bit underwhelming for us besides eating at Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion. There was a limited menu because the pandemic which meant an even more limited menu for me with food allergies but we still had a great time ..read more

On the 4th day of our trip we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom which was much better than I expected. I was excited to check out Pandora but the rest I felt like was going to be a zoo where you couldn’t really see animals. Oh how I was wrong. We saw animals VERY up close and active. Especially on the Safari. This park was so good, my daughter who has high expectations for everything said it’s her favorite park ..read more

After a few days in Florida I discovered that even with straightened hair, the humidity will do what it wants with my hair. So I just kept it curly. We had two days in the parks (Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in previous posts) and this was our rest day. We slept in and then went to explore Disney Springs. Our big highlight for the day was eating at Raglan Road Irish Pub. WOW WOW WOW!!! I highly recommend this place: ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY. I had the gluten free fish and chips and the gluten free onion rings. This isn’t on my usual plant based menu that I try to stick ..read more

On day 2 of our Disney World trip (excluding arrival day), we went to Hollywood Studios. We had a blast but it was FREEZING. It rained all day and the temps felt to be in the 30s. We shivered all day long but we had so much fun that we didn’t mind. We were surprised to see there wasn’t much to do for our toddler with the time we had and with how much of the cold we could take. They did have Toy Story land so I guess there are some things for him but we didn’t have the time in our trip. We were so exhausted after a full day of shivering. It sounds like it was miserable which it would probably ..read more

This post is a part 3 of our Magic Kingdom day. So I have heard how relaxing the People Mover attraction is and that’s a literal fact. My youngest fell asleep immediately. What shocked me was that thing really moves. I thought it would be this snail paced ride but it really takes you around quickly. It was nice to have a break and just look around while the little guy naps. I was SO excited to see Repunzels tower. Snow White is my favorite but Repunzel is my other favorite and these lanterns made me smile. So pretty ..read more

This post is a bit of a second parter of my Disney World blog. I had so many photos and things to share so I thought I would break it up. I have been to Disneyland in Anaheim California so many times and this castle was shocking. So much bigger and so beautiful. I really couldn’t take my eyes off of it anytime we walked by it. I always thought Mickey balloons were a huge waste of money but I was surprised how this expensive balloon was the biggest hit of the entire trip for my little guy. He played with it all day and even in the hotel room on the other days ..read more

We finally took our dream vacation to Disney World and let me tell you, the feeling I had in my stomach that morning I woke up to see the Magic Kingdom for the first time can’t be described. Arriving at the ticket/magic band scan had me so antsy I couldn’t even believe I was actually there. Walking down Main Street USA and seeing that 50th anniversary castle almost made me cry. I know that sounds silly. I know it was my inner child in shock that this was actually happening. A life long dream to be on this vacation and here I was. It was the most perfect day. Here are a few photos from the tri ..read more

We finally took our dream family vacation to Disney World! We saved for so long for this trip and even did a lot of special things every day that we have always wanted to do. So the next few blog posts will be about our trip. The most amazing part of it is I was able to be in the moment and not have a single anxiety attack. My 3 year old had his first flight! My daughter who is 8 also had her first flight but I knew she would go with the flow and not have an issue. We left from Las Vegas at 11pm and landed in Orlando at 6 am. Little man did great! He slept the entire way and luckily he was as ..read more

A few years ago, after I had my youngest baby the relaxin in my body sure did do it’s thing on my joints. Joints in my feet shifted and I now have constant leg imbalances. I need surgery but it’s a 6 month recovery PER foot. Obviously that is not possible with a toddler and everything on my plate with my hubs work schedule. So I’ve sucked it up and started managing with exercise. I got tips from my physical therapist and my person trainer. I went from constant knee pain and increasing arthritis to NO PAIN. I can’t even believe it. I have no joint pain at all since I’ve been lifting weights. I ..read more

Our first park day on our vacation will be Magic Kingdom. I mean, is there really any better way to start our first Disney World trip. I have a HUGE surprise for the family at the end of this day that I will get to in a moment. For breakfast I plan on having those convenient cups of oatmeal where you just add water, replace the lid, microwave and enjoy. I plan on getting the family Quaker where I get Red Mill ones that are gluten free. Also cereal bars will be on hand for a snack during transportation to the park or while were waiting in line to get into the park. For lunch we have reservatio ..read more
