Trust in the Lord and do good- “Psalm 37:3” What is good? Can we mortals do good? In his response to the rich ruler, Jesus, in Luke 18:19, said, “No one is good except God alone.” The truth is that we can do good only by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us. You know, friends, there are things we call good, but they might not be good in the sight of God. It depends on our walk with God and the condition of our hearts. The question is, where is our heart’s posture? There was a King named Amaziah in 2 Chronicles 25:2. The bible says that “he did that which was right in the sight ..read more

“Return to Him from whom you have deeply defected” Isaiah 31:6 Have you ever set out to go somewhere and missed a turn? What was your first reaction? I have, and I had to find my way back, maybe by my navigation rerouting me to get me back on track, or I ask people along the way (before we had navigation and smartphones) until I return to my original route. I don’t particularly appreciate missing my way because it is disorienting. Therefore, I do my best to return to my course quickly. Have you ever fallen before? What did you do? Get back up, right? Some will get up as quickly as possible s ..read more

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus Philippians 3:14 My friends, I thank God for each of you and the gift of a loving father who sent his only begotten son to die so we may live. As we experience the Power of Resurrection, may we also nail our sins to that cross, leave the past behind and choose to live. As we reflect on the verse above, we should know that pressing on towards the goal for the prize is not a competition with others. Instead, it is a competition to be the best version of ourselves while remaining in the center of God’s will. Somet ..read more

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” James 1:12 Soccer season is over for the year. Pheww! My boys can now take the load off, practice more and reset for the next season. The season was not as good as the boys expected because they had more losses than wins, but they learned much from that experience that would carry them a long way. The passion and enthusiasm I saw in the team stood out to me throughout the season, which I consider wins. None of them quit! T ..read more

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 Today, my birthday, I decided to share one of my many testimonies on how God is transforming me. That’s me in the picture above, teaching in front of many students. I would never have imagined standing in front of people to speak because I have always been timid, and I guess you can say scared to stand in front of a stage. I was comfortable in my little shell. Some people might ask, what’s the big deal? It was a big deal to me. The fact is t ..read more

Under the shadow of God’s wings

“Whoever goes to the Most High for safety Whoever remains under the protection of His wings, Can say to the Lord….” Psalm 91:1 Are you familiar with psalm 91? It is such a powerful psalm for confidence in God’s protection. This psalm is one of those that my mum taught me growing up. I learned all the verses and could recite them from the beginning to the end by heart. But I never paid much attention to the first verse until a few days ago. So how could I, for years, skip paying attention to what should be the prerequisite to enjoying lasting protection and getting the promises added to it? P ..read more

“But in their distress, they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and they sought him, and He let them find Him” – 2 Chronicles 15:4 Is it just me, or does anyone else feels the world has a different feel? It does not feel right anymore because of the many things going on. I must admit that life is tough! There is so much pain, suffering, violence, hatred, anger, sickness, death all around, fear, and anxiety causing people to be depressed, you name it. I have concluded that it takes God’s grace not to lose it in these distressing times. Really, what can we do? We have all been doing life on our ..read more

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for human beings”- Colossians 3:23 I do not know who is reading this right now, but I pray it blesses, inspires, and encourages us to do better for the sake of Christ. The above bible verse is for everyone-men, women and children alike and it can be applied everywhere, every time, in every situation. I do not think I need to remind anyone how evil the world is and how it seems to worsen by the day. So much evil. The enemy is at work. People don’t care about others anymore, and they can take a li ..read more

The Power of Resurrection and the Fulfillment of God’s Love

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 I hope we all answer “YES” to the question above that Jesus is asking us all. HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA Christ died that we may live. He died so that our sins might be forgiven. He died that we may be healed by his stripes. He died to bring us righteousness and peace. He died to free us from the fear of death by conquering death. What else could he have done that he has not done? On the cross, He said, “it ..read more

God’s will or Our will

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” – Matthew 6:10 Many people know the Lord’s prayer, and it seems almost as if we recite it without thinking or meditating on what it means. I am guilty of that. Just imagine the will of God done on earth as it is done in heaven. The earth will be a better place to be. We all have a role to play in that. What is God’s will? God says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” So, isn’t it better to navigate life with the one who knows ..read more
