Artimus Killian: Another Character Sheet Project (Star Trek Adventures 2e)
Continuing Mission

Greetings. Artimus Killian here.  I’m back transmitting another Character Sheet project. This time I bring you a work-in-progress sheet for Star Trek Adventures 2nd Edition. I created this for my crew to use in converting our current 1e characters into 2e as best we can to try out the updated system and its enhancements. The sheet is based on the official 24th century 1e sheet, with the second edition mixed in using the Quickstart rules as a reference. You’ll find two character sheet files, one sheet intended for printing and writing on with a pencil and one form fillable for use on PADDs ..read more

Canis Major tackles the 2E Quickstart Adventure!

YouTube VOD | Audio-only Podcast My Sunday group was eager to check out the 2E quickstart adventure, so we squeezed it into our normal sessions. Note that we’re using our own characters and ship, not the pregens that come in the quickstart. We also didn’t get to the actual adventure until 39:52, so feel free to skip ahead to that. In truth, the quickstart adventure played the same as my usual sessions, just without challenge dice involved. We agreed the quickstart was set up very well to teach the 2E system to any newbies to the product line, and that the story twist was well done. Experi ..read more

Dominion War Tactical Campaign

Following up on my review of the Federation-Klingon Tactical Campaign sourcebook, I’m here with a supplement to use the same admiralty mechanics in the Dominion War. I loved the asset and point of interest rules from the Tactical Campaign and instantly started thinking about how to utilize them in other conflicts, and I know I’m not the only one! The rules in the Tactical Campaign are fairly general and can be applied easily to any era of play. What needs to change, though, are the Campaign Stages with the scripted events (which need to be Dominion War events), the Character Asset list, and th ..read more

I’m back today with more about the Federation-Klingon Tactical Campaign, following my first part which focused on the book’s options for players and GMs. Really, last time was about all the stuff for Star Trek Adventures as you have probably been playing it with crews and away teams going on typical Trek adventures. This time we’re going to talk about what’s truly different with this book, the tactical campaign itself. Setting the Stage It’s said throughout the book but it’s worth repeating here: this style of game has more risk than your average Star Trek Adventures game. War is a heady subje ..read more
