Help, I've been stuck on -4 LR average for a while now, how can I get it lower?

My method of study has been doing timed sections on Lawhub, I've gotten -4 mostly, with some occasional -6 and -2. When I review the correct answer, it suddenly becomes obvious, but I still don't get any more questions right on the next section. I just feel stuck because of this. Any advice on what I can do about this to get down to a consistent -1/-2? submitted by /u/MysticFX1 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Tips to improve your timing

One of the biggest things that hinder increases in scores is timing. Below are some tips on timing. If you are interested in tutoring or just have a question feel free to reach out to me. -Set loose goals of where you want to reach certain questions by. I always tried to finish the first 5 questions of LR in 5 minutes and the first 10 in 10 minutes. After that, I would allow myself to slow down a bit. Having these goals kept me on track. It wasn't that I had to hit them every time but I knew I had to be close. -Don't just practice the difficult questions. I notice that on all of the sections ..read more

Studying full time and trying to study 5-6 hours a day, but I find myself struggling to hit this goal consistently. Some days it’s super easy- I can study for six hours with minimal breaks and even reach 7-8 hours. Other days it feels impossible- no matter what focusing strategies I do, no matter how well I take care of myself, my head feels like it’s stuffed with cotton and I struggle to get even an hour in. I eat well, I get 8-9 hours of sleep, I exercise 4x a week, I give myself a break every hour of studying to avoid burnout- I feel like I’m doing everything I can and failing anyways. I’m ..read more

Pinned FAQ post?

Be brutally honest with me if this is a bad idea, but I think some stuff should be added to the FAQ so we don't keep seeing the EXACT same posts over and over, and people who post questions directly answered in the FAQ should have their post removed. Stuff like: I got (insert score) on my diagnostic, how high do you think I can get? (However high you possibly can by studying.) How long should I study for the LSAT? (Until you can consistently PT the score you want. Usually 3 months minimum of full time studying.) How do I improve at (insert section)? (Do more practice problems and review what ..read more

Current LSAC accommodation discussion. Any thoughts?

Firstly, I make it sure that I believe people with disabilities should have the same opportunities to access education as those without disabilities, and if disabilities create barriers to these opportunities, there should be measures in place to overcome them. And also I want to clarify that the purpose of this Reddit post is not to present a sophisticated argument based on research, but to share my general thoughts and engage in a discussion to hear others' views. Additionally, here, I want to focus specifically on accommodations for extended time, particularly for those with ADHD or some o ..read more

Stagnating in the high 160's. Any advice?

Hey all, Thanks for taking the time to read this. My breakdown is as follows: usually -0 on LG, averaging -5 on RC, and my LR varies a lot by test, so I've been focusing solely on RC and LR. My goal score is to break 170, so I'm wondering how I can get those last few points :/ I have been taking a lot of full PTs recently and trying to focus on LR questions that I find harder/tricky, but sometimes the RC section just kills me. Not sure what to do, any advice appreciated! submitted by /u/DrDre69 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
