Hi,
I am not sure to understand that part: "But, since S already cannot be second, we can infer that Y cannot be second due to the third rule."
Couldn't it be S1, Y2, and Q3?
Thanks in advance.

I chose D because I interpret "class" as "group". Employees in other companies were divided into two groups, used it or not, so the manager infers that his company would be the same.
Could you please tell me why is it wrong? Thank you.

Hi, I have some of the some confusions as OP. From the drill on page 463 (2024 edition) we come up with the diagram:
Code:
A <--s--> B <--|--> C --> D
I don't understand why we can't make the inference:
Code:
A <---s--> D
We ride the some train from A to B
We ride the double not arrow from B to C
We ride the arrow from C to D
Where have I gone wrong?

Hi, I think I'm getting confused by the conclusion: Anyone who is not eligible for a free soft drink is not eligible for a free dessert.
Is this diagrammed as: FSD ---> FD
Because I was thinking of originally diagramming it using the people who are "not eligible" for each condition.
But I had trouble determining who were not eligible. Is it the same as saying the contrapositives?
For example:
1. FD ---> E + S
and contrapositive is E or S ---> FD
does that mean the people who are not eligible for FD is a person without an E or a person without an S?
Also is this stimulus showing val ..read more

Where do you find each item on the critical homework lists? I don't think they're in the LSAT Course book.

Hi! Can someone explain why (C) is wrong. I can see how he made the flaw shown in B, but it also seems like he made the flaw shown in C. I keep thinking that it is true he overlooked the fact in C so he was able to make the conclusion that the cyclist does not have a normal lung and instead an exceptional lung. Because if he didn't overlook it, he would have realized that since there's no exceptional heart, and concluded this cyclist could have had a normal lung capacity.

Hello,
The stimulus: fear--> adrenaline increase --> remember more clear
conclusion: frightening exp. --> remember more clear
C: pleasurable exp. --> adrenaline increase --> remember more clear. I understand this can weaken the argument. But I don't understand how frightening experiences could be highly pleasurable experiences.
Thank you!
