Had a manco dingo sat for about a year because it was barely moving and didn’t have the time to properly check it out. Decided to look into it more the other week and noticed the drive belt was pretty much completely destroyed (stretched, teeth missing etc). So decided to buy a new one after searching around for a while. Fitted it (as shown in photo) and it worked perfectly. About an hour of riding later it was struggling to even start driving on flat ground. Pulled the cover off and the...

So I joined the site recently as I had just bought the same BKS Kart I ran 25yrs ago and was searching for info. I took it all in and rebuilt the kart. I forgot how much fun these darn things were, (I'm 51 but who's counting), I've added another Manco kart and pretty sure I'll get one more. Thanks to all you guys who post and help on this site, as...

It seems to me that you could have a very energy-efficient car by have a small electric motor and a transmission. You wouldn't need to carry that huge motor coil for torque, just spin the motor to 28k rpm. Using a high amperage and a low voltage and gearing that up, you could have a much safer ev, potentially running it off of SLA or other batteries that are less environmentally harmful no? I want y'alls input on why this isn't possible, or at least why its not being done ..read more

More of an opinion post, I want to hear what number of teeth yall have on your karts. Engine was originally from an ATV, with the 3 speeds being 0.65:1, 0.85:1,and 1:1 as best I can tell. PTO shaft sprocket is a 16 tooth, what number of teeth should I run on the rear axle? It is the same live axle arcade racing kart as before ..read more

I’m unsure of what’s causing my go kart to smoke…. I was given a Manco 169cc Magnum Express 606 go cart for my kids. It says 6.5hp. It has a Robin Subaru EX17 engine identified with with SN#: 1018602 and Engine Model #EX170D500105657. The engine family is 2FJXS. 1691GA. It stopped running, and the kid was working on it... I got it missing the air filter assembly and it probably needs a carb rebuild. My problem is identifying the precise Air Filter Assembly that goes on this thing. Searches for the SN and Model # turn up nothing. Some...
