Happy Earth Day! I'm tidying up the house, readying my altar for Mother Gaia, and getting ready to do my annual litter pick up, after the trash man comes anyway. Whatever Earth deity(s) you guys worship, i hope you all have a beautiful day ..read more

Ireland, language and the land.

Wonderful discussion on language, Ireland and the land. Animism in language as connection to the land itself. Ireland maintained this deep connection long after most European countries were losing it yet its origins are still within modern language. This connectiveness in Ireland continued long after it was colonized, and the indigenous people subdued. I guess that can happen if you name your country after a goddess ..read more

Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen with is Nordic Animism is what I feel is one of the best in presenting a pagan religion that goes beyond just the myths. The other is Joshua Schrei with the emerald podcast. Both are creating a depth of connection that is allowing paganism to mature and meaningful religion. I am wondering what others think. Sincerely Bear Wild ..read more

I do believe that we're not the only life in the universe. And it would make sense if they did have worshippers or were cultivating eco systems in places we've never dreamt of. What do you guys think ..read more

There are several holidays I look forward to doing more of then others every year. I honor Diana and Fenris twice a year. Once in Their respective months, and together in the early summer. I always look forward to honoring Apollo, Aphrodite, Persephone, Gaia, Apu-Ko-Hai, Zephyrus, Notus, and Poseidon's holy days too. Admittedly I've been missing some over the last few years as I've been too busy wallowing about stuff. But this spring really snapped me out of it. What are some of the... Read more ..read more

An interesting thought on Deities and their sacred creatures

We've all heard that plants and animals are sacred to specific deities, and we know from the myths that not every deity was there right from the start. It makes me wonder if anyone has ever discovered if the oldest creator Gods hold long extinct species of plants and animals sacred and dear to their hearts? It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case ..read more

Pagan Path Poll

Hee hee, I used alliteration. Since we often get left out of the consensus except as Other, I'm curious to know how many follow specific paths? Dunno how many options the forum allows, but here goes! I'm unsure if Native American Spirituality, Hinduism, Shinto, Voodoo, Santeria, and Polynesian Spirituality (unsure of what it's called) care to put themselves under the umbrella. I've heard conflicting views about it. Which is what the Other option is for, and don't wish to upset practitioners... Read more ..read more

I mean in terms of interacting physically rather then online. I've literally only met a handful irl. And yeah yeah, I know it depends on the people, because it takes all types to make a world. But I'm just curious I suppose, as to what I've been missing, how it's evolved from the viewpoint of long time members etc ..read more
