Access your higher self or “I am-ness” and move out of separateness into a profound state of beingness.
Every single person born into this world has the Divine inside them. Each person comes from the limitless unknowable Divine dimension. Their soul takes shape as geometries of light and sound in the soul realm. This is a realm which is at the same time immediate – accessible through every cell of our body – and also an incalculable distance away when we live in the thinking mind.
The soul and its emanations make up our mind, body and spirit. When we do spiritual practices that take us beyond ..read more

As you may have heard, my health required urgent attention over the past month, with two hospital admissions, surgery and lots of tests and a big need for rest. When one has a life disruption like this, it gives lots of time for introspection and contemplation. It feels like a reset, an opportunity to see myself and life differently.
Have you ever been through something like that?
Our karma is mysterious and arises from all the actions of this and past lives. We cannot know what is coming but we can have some mental ‘coat hangers’ and spiritual tools so that if we are tested, we can deal with ..read more

How often do we compare ourselves to others? For most people it is such a constant state of consciousness that it is like the air we breathe, barely noticed as the background in which everything, including thinking, takes place.
All we really need to be is ourselves. When we compare ourselves to others, there are unintended spiritual effects. For instance, we are automatically thrown into duality. We step out of the unified field. We start hustling and jostling. Also, real humility becomes almost impossible.
The real me cannot be with the real you, we all have to pretend so we can feel like we ..read more

As we consider walking through the doorway to higher consciousness, here’s one of the keys for all of us to take a closer look at… what is humility and how can it help us step back into oneness?
Humility is a key to oneness and higher consciousness. In fact, I think that when we step out of humility, we go into separateness…we ‘other’ people and we ‘other’ ourselves. But when we’re in humility, we tend to be one more easily. One of the signs that we’ve stepped out of humility, obviously enough, is when we go into arrogance. Unfortunately most of the time we don’t know when we are being a ..read more

There will be times we find ourselves in disagreements. Here’s how to use those disagreements and to learn from them in a positive way.
The quality of loving can be present even in the face of disagreement, and is evident by the tone used, the body language and the attitude of “where will we go from here?”. We are not going to agree with everyone, and not everyone will agree on everything with us. Even when we have to walk away it can be done with dignity, there are tools to clean up the situation and to let go in a healthy way.
Sometimes we are faced with interpersonal relationship issu ..read more

Happy New Year! Blessings to all. Here is a little exercise to help you start your year off in a positive way. This came through on New Year’s Day, at our first Satsang for 2023. I hope you find it helpful.
Give yourself an interrupted half hour. Get comfortable, maybe do some breathing exercises. When you feel settled, think of the things that have been challenges over the past year. And rather than pushing these things away, utilise the law of acceptance; just calmly contemplate what was.
We learn a great deal about ourselves in life through the things that we didn’t choose and wo ..read more

Do you see every situation as an opportunity to learn and to evolve? Even the challenging moments?
Life is a university for the soul and an opportunity to overcome the limitations and seeming obstacles inherent in the structure and form of our egoic nature. In the vastness of the scheme of the heavens, these limitations and challenges are only there to help us to evolve and grow; to bring forth the latent spiritual muscle and strength that is in us all.
That strength involves the capacity to hold the virtues, which before our lives on earth, were only ideas in the mind of the Divin ..read more

Sometimes our journey isn’t clear and we can’t see what’s around the corner. So how do we move forward anyway?
Have you ever had a time where you felt incapacitated from doing something because you worried you were not fully ready, or might not be perfect at it? A time when you could not let yourself try something because you could not be assured of success? Where the potential for failure prevented any attempt?
Sometimes we will see this in young children. They will not try even a game or a sport because they fear they will not be good at it. Our ego does not like the idea of failure, o ..read more
