I was going for 4 hrs. I stayed with the pacer til mile 18 then the cramps came. I'm thankful to the paramedic who gave me a good rubdown. I wouldn't have made it without. submitted by /u/derrico89 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 or Asics Magic Speed 3??

Hi everyone! Need help deciding between two shoes. I have 2 shoes at the moment. I have the HOKA Rincon 3s which give me blisters on my toes, so I reserve those for treadmill runs. I also have the gel nimbus 25 for slow / recovery days which I love. But I am looking for a shoe I can do faster workouts in and also race in (running a 10 mile in July). Im deciding between the saucony endorphin speed 4 and asics magic speed 3. I can get magic speed for 130$ and endorphin speed for 144$ with discounts. Im a pretty slow runner (average 10.5 - 11 min/mile pace). Aesthetics wise, I think the endo ..read more

Running without a bra?

So for some background I typically don’t wear a bra, this started about 6 months ago where I just decided to give it up all together as it caused my boobs to get in the way when I was bouldering. I am young [F22] and have C/D cups so not exactly small, but I don’t have pain jogging or going about my daily life without a bra. I am new to running maybe 2 times a week 2 miles each. I figure if there is no pain I will be fine. Plus bras are a human invention so naturally I should be fine, but people say it can cause breast tissue damage/sagging. Thoughts? submitted by /u/eletricalcurves8679 [vis ..read more

Hi, 28F, new to running and have gradually worked my way up to 10k in a few months. My heart rate is almost always >190bpm and I am so unbelievably red and hot when I finish the run, but during the run I feel okay to keep going although it’s definitely challenging. Should I be concerned? submitted by /u/United-Influence8402 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Struggling to stay in Zone 2

Hello, I'm a complete beginner runner, I currently train about 3 times a week, but I've only been doing it for a short time. I really struggle with my heart rate and zone 2 training. I also saw a video about it that says you shouldn't drive yourself crazy. The thing is, I really try to run very slowly and easily and it doesn't feel physically strenuous for me, but my pulse is always in zone 4-5. I then try to walk every now and then, and then my pulse drops very quickly to zone 3 and then 2. But when I start jogging again, it takes less than 10 seconds until I'm back in zone 4. And that's rea ..read more
