Anyone know when the Nav system receives updates for newly installed speed cameras?

My city is on a spending spree installing a bunch speed cameras. Does anyone know how the system updates with the newest location for these cameras? Is it based on a map update or is it something live communicated via bluelink? I ask because I really REALLY enjoy the advanced warning when approaching these cameras and hope the new activated cameras will be included in these verbal warnings ..read more

Video Recording

I would love to have a video recorder to record all my driving both front and rear. It could be very useful in the event of an accident. These Santa Fe's have great cameras. It would be great if we were able to purchase either Hyundai or third party equipment to be able to use the existing cameras rather than buy a whole separate system with its own cameras. I don't know why they don't think of this from the manufacturer. I would have paid for an option like that in a second. Has... Video Recording ..read more

Voice Recognition for Texting while Driving 2023 Sante Fe

I had a 2018 Chevy Equinox which readily asked you to hear a text message and to reply to a text using voice while driving. I find it ridiculous that my new 2023 Sante fe wants you to click listen to the message, click reply, click voice recognition microphone, wait till it asks you, speak your message and then send. Jeesh by then I'm in a ditch and mad that it didn't hear my message clearly and I have to do it all over again anyway! Someone please tell me I am just missing something... I bought a CPO Santa Fe with 4,400 miles two weeks ago. The test drive went great. Nothing but issues since. The worst part was the front seats. It seemed like there was a metal rod going from front to back right down the middle. After an hour my but hurt sooo bad the ibuprofen was my only friend. It got worse after every drive. It tried pillows, cardboard, mats, cushions, etc. nothing helped. It was miserable and I’m not the only one. There are several negative posts here regarding the... Carplay 'keypad not acessible' workaround - my method, but does anyone have a better fix?

When using CarPlay, it is impossible to access the keypad during a call which is unsafe, as if you need to "press 1" etc you have to pick up your phone. This is an APPLE thing, not a Hyundai thing (there are lots of mis-statements about this elsewhere), because when using the phone through bluetooth the keypad is accessible. You cannot use the bluetooth with the phone connected to carplay because voice recognition defaults to siri who defaults to carplay. At the moment I have the phone... carplay 'keypad not acessible' workaround - my method, but does anyone have a better fix ..read more

Instrument Panel warning lights issue

I just purchased a 2023 SantaFe Hybrid Limited, and after 1 week my dash warning lights started to light up. The more I drove it the more lights came on. ABS, TractionControl, Hill, CheckEngine, Warning, Tire, etc. The dealer has had the car for 5days and is still waiting for part. Sometime about a wiring harness. Has anyone experienced something like this? Once fixed will it come back? I'm off to a bad start with a brand new car. Worst part is the dealer doesn't have any loaners... Do you change your oil every 8000 miles?

This is what the Hyundai service manual shows. Is there any well-justified reason to change it more often, under ordinary mixed town-highway driving conditions (no off road, no towing)? Favorite oil and reason why? Thanks ..read more
