One of my goals is to lose weight. I am tracking my calories again, and trying to get 10k steps per day. I want to lose around 20-30 lbs. I am 45 and weigh 205. What are some of your strageties that helped you lose weight? How often did you hop on the scale ..read more

I weighed 248lbs on Sunday. On Monday, April 22, 2024, MFP told me that if everyday were like this, I'd weigh 220lbs in 5 weeks.
So I'll try it. And I'll track it. And I'll let you know how it goes ..read more

I'm counting macros and often find myself with leftover protein, fat and carb grams that I need to use up. I would love to be able to plug that info into an app that would then give me suggested meals or snacks that could use up those macros. I've tried looking in the Play Store on my phone for such an app with no luck, but I thought this may be a good place to post about this in case anyone out there knows of such a thing. TIA ..read more

Not impressed with this app then ..read more

I use the fitness display tracker at Ticker Factory but I noticed sometimes it won't update the information in the BBCode I need to paste it on myfitnesspals. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
I know how to update my info, I enter my PIN, I click the update data section, update it, and hit save, sometimes the info shows it updated in the display, but sometimes it doesn't. I then get the BBCode to paste and when I paste it, a lot of times, for some reason, the information does not update. Why is this? Does Ticker Factory have an error ..read more

I have seen countless threads in my short time here on the forums and I see a very common theme. Many people are talking about starvation mode. This is a mythical mode that body switches into when you eat to little. Supposedly you stop losing fat because, well, no one seems to know, you just do. In reality this does not occur! The body does not cease to lose fat when large caloric deficits are present. This is supported by both research and anecdotal observation. Before I go on let me clairify that I am not an advocate of VLCD (very low calorie dieting) and I will explain why in this post. I s ..read more
