Need some last minute help achieving your 2022 reading goals? Here are some novellas I read recently (up to 200 pages) that you can grab on KU and sneak in under the wire. I personally enjoyed every book (or author) on this list for different reasons. Some books were genuinely spectacular writing. It's the laziest post ever--there are no links--but you can grab them all or none or some on Kindle Unlimited and let me know your thoug ..read more

TBR Takedown Month Wrap Up

I was recently watching my TBR stack grow taller and taller and taller (metaphorically because most of them are on my Kindle) and it was triggering some massive anxiety attacks. So, I decided enough was enough and I was actually going to tackle some of those books! And thus TBR TAKENDOWN MONTH became a thing. I am so grateful to my Patreon supports and all those who stuck by me and supported me during this tough month. I'm honestly shocked that I didn't reread a single book (even though I know I could have done it without anyone knowing I swear I didn't). To those of you who suggested books fo ..read more

Arabella’s twin brother, Mr. Bonaventure “Bonny” Tarleton, has also grown up…romantic. And fully expects Valentine to ride out after Arabella and prove to her that he’s not the cold-hearte ..read more

My New Obsession with Bribing Someone To Have Sex With You

I'm not interested in this trope in my real life, of course. But fiction is fiction is fiction and it doesn't mean it's something you want to happen to you in real life. In fact, if I asked for a day off of work and my boss said I'd have to have sex with him to get it then I'd probably laugh in his face and have one hand already dialing HR. The other hand would be repeatedly flipping him off in the most aggressive of manners. Now that I've done the requisite spiel...I've read three books in the last week with this trope and it's unbelievably spicy. And wrong. And spicy. And illegal. And spicy ..read more

Parties (Girls Weekend #2) by CM Nascosta

I was first introduced to author CM Nascosta after reading and falling in love with Finley Fenn's orcs. I needed more orcs. Stat. And someone recommended Girls Weekend by CM Nascosta for a different sort of orc. I was skeptical at first because they're so much...nicer than Fenn's orcs but in the end I absolutely fell in love with the Hallmark vibes meets monsters meets contemporary world that Nascosta created. Blurb: Several months after a weekend girls' trip, suburban elves Lurielle, Ris, and Silva are still affected by their experiences at the resort and the orcs they met there. Lurielle di ..read more

Villains are hot. End of story. Full stop. The end. So here are some of my favorite recs where the heroine/hero gets the villain. This is a list of primarily dark romances, many of which have incredibly troubling themes. Please make sure to check triggers of individual books before selecting one to read. Feel free to DM me for further details on the books, I'm happy to answer specific questions. The Kidnapping of Roan Sinclair by Ashlyn Drewek My friend Carmen recommended this book to me and it was pretty intense.
