Hi All, As ever, I bow to the technical knowledge on this forum. Now I understand that the vehicle has a 12V battery to "start" the motor and run the traditional things like lights, heater and all the day to day gubbins inside the vehicle but can anyone explain to me in simple terms how this gets charged from the "big" battery under the floor please? Am interested in hearing the opinion of the clever folk out there who have an electrical engineering background. I received a registered letter this am from Mercedes re a recall for my car concerning the 80amp fuse. It seems the recall affects about 32,000 cars and not just BEV PHEV AND petrol as well. The attached notice gives the details. Now I can understand that the fuse may have been made with a duff mix of metal so it does not operate within the parameter set but they refer to... As there isn’t an EQA section, I thought I would ask here. I have been toying with getting an EQA350 and having downloaded the manual, it seems that there aren’t any charging timers in the car. Does anyone know if that is true. Maybe its the same with other EQ models? TIA ..read more

I have recently swapped from an EQC to an EQE SUV delivered on the 11th December after being ordered at the end of April. Sadly the EQE needed to go back for a software update as the ambiant lighting only partially worked, a known issue and down to poor PDI process on the part of Mercedes (not the dealership much of the PDI is now carried out at the distribution centres). My wife bought an MB B250e september 2018. It had 33 900 kilometres milage and 2015 year model. It has run perfectly since then. Only changed front brakepads and the speedcontrol at the right rear wheel. Then 10 days ago while drivning on the highway, the warning ligths started to flash.
