Hello everyone!
Looking for help in determining if I should purchase FFE. A local dealership is offering a 2018 FFE for $10,900 with 12,000 miles. It's very clean with only one owner using it for a small daily drive in the city. My concerns came into play when considering the age of the car and battery and the battery was no longer under warranty, but he promised to get me a 6.6KW TC Charger.
So for all you FFE owners out there who are willing to answer, how long will your 2016-2018 FFE battery last? How much battery life can be extended after installing a car charger?

A good car charger is known to increase the life of the battery. In this article I’ll display you ways smooth it’s to estimate the on-board charger performance of an electric car with the aid of the use of WLTP rankings.
I’ll use WLTP rankings in this newsletter, but you may additionally use EPA or NEDC ratings, considering the fact that they also degree plug-to-wheels intake, because of this they include charging losses.
It’s vital to word that for measuring the consumption the charging changed into made by means of the use of a home socket at low modern (10 A) and some on-board charge ..read more

This thing works for me as my first EV experience. No regular commute, not too many road trips and we have other cars for road trips or take the B250e, charge up here and there and take the dog for walk or get some lunch / dinner while it charges up.
I totally get this. I live on an island 9x5 miles and, apart from the delivery journey, I can’t see range being an issue. This is a solidly well-built EV.
Any further thoughts on your relationship with this EV?

Many Tesla models also have this problem, and they often start failing at 10k–20k miles. Ours is already at 90k.
Tesla replaced a lot of drive units due to this "milling sound" problem, caused by a bad bearing. It even increased the warranty of all cars retroactively from 125k miles, 8 years to unlimited miles, 8 years. But Mercedes isn't doing much.
What do you suggest me to do?
Thanks
Hi,
Just wanted to check if you heard anything further on your potential warranty cover?
Thanks,
Will

Not sure if this forum is still alive generally but I bought a 22k mile 2017 on 24 Feb in the UK. I then drove it 230+ miles through the night, depending only on Tethered charging as the previous owner had unexpectedly kept the high voltage cable with many many charging stops, to Portsmouth ferry.
I placed a lot of reliance on it being MB, low mileage and U.K. MOT, plus sold by a (non-Merc) dealer.
P.S. loving it so far! Already I can’t see myself going back to an ICE vehicle and I only now calculated the fuel savings against our primary G-wagon; this car should pay for itself in 4-6yrs base ..read more

Just picked up a low mileage 2017 from the UK. I had planned my route out perfectly without much issue until the day/night before when dealer noted that there wasn’t a high voltage cable included and I simultaneously discovered that most UK chargers are untethered. Route replotted across many small back roads via mostly Shell garages. It was a long but also short journey covering 230 miles throughout the night in order to catch a 9am ferry.
Miles covered: 230
Stops: 5 (6 if you include the second garage which had removed their Type 2 charger)
Average charge and snooze time: 1hr or just over
