It will turn it OFF just fine. I have the most recent firmware, and all the options for HDMI-CEC enabled. I have it connected to the same input on my AVR that had my Shield TV plugged into it, and it DID turn on with that device. I'm using the same HDMI cable, too. The TV does turn on fine, but then the Xbox sound just comes out of the TV until I either manually turn the receiver on or turn it on with the SLOW Denon remote app.
What am I missing?
Thank you ..read more

Hi everyone. I have a Samsung q70t television set. It's the 75-in version. I also have an Xbox series x. I was wondering if I should put my TV on PC mode so it enables full 444 RGB and set my Xbox series X to full RGB. Would that be or get me better color then keeping it on standard? My TV supports PC mode and so does the Xbox I am thinking RGB full would be better, would it not ..read more

Ok so I am big on going green energy efficency etc. And I had a very old launch 360 20GB 90nm CPU 90nm GPU sucked down 203 watts and got hot, but worked flawlessly. Sold it. It used a whopping 16.5A (Amps) rated on the power brick and the unit.
Went down to Best Buy and got a newer Jasper model, 60GB model, runs great the new 60GB HDD with 8MB cache buffer vs the old 20GB HDD only had 2MB cache buffer, is way faster glad I upgraded.
Problem is it came with a 175 watt power supply, not...

Hi all,
I'm trying to set up my Xbox series X for the best picture on my Samsung TU8000 TV and I'm really struggling.
I have the RGB mode set to standard in the video settings on the console, per MS recommendations, and I have my TV HDMI black level set to auto. If I switch it to "low" I get the same result.
In the calibration screen, there is a black background with two eyes, a closed eye and an open eye. Microsoft says to adjust brightness until the closed eye is barely visible, while...

Hi all,
I wondered if anyone could help with connecting my ancient Xbox 360 to my Samsung 4k TV please?
I have a PS5 connected via standard HDMI and it works fine.
I have connected my 360 using the same HDMI cable - my TV thinks about it for a second or two before showing it as "Unknown" in the source list
I've connected the 360 to a different display and it is working fine - I have accessed display settings and it was set to "1080p"
I tried 1080i and 720p - and another, but my TV still...

I cannot figure this out. I have not changed any settings on either my TV, AVR, or XSX. I’m having trouble where it’s intermittent and not sending HDR. I thought it was my AVR so I bypassed that and went direct from the XSX to my TV (Samsung QN65Q90RAFXZA). I still am seeing the same behavior. I also swapped to new Zeskit cables to both the TV and the XSX. No change. Sometimes it triggers and other times no matter what I do (turn off XSX, unplug cables) it won't kick in. Each time I use the...

In my Series X, I am trying to do the setup for home theater in the Dolby Access app. Whenever I try to, it tells me:
"Dolby Atmos for home theater was not configured. Confirm that your TV, soundbar or Home Theater supports Dolby Atmos. Select 'Go to settings' to configure your Xbox for Dolby Atmos."
I've tried going directly into the OLED and using eARC to my Onkyo or just changing the speakers to television and I'm getting the error no matter what. Any ideas on how to resolve?
EDIT...
