Hey! I started printing some reef stuff on my anycubic go. Anyone have tips for improvement? I'm still getting strings. The filament dryer helped a lot but still having a hard time dialing it in. This mushroom cage I found on thingiverse has been a great tester ..read more

Hey everyone! I got into 3d printing a month ago, and have made some cool things for reefing. I like designing and trying out new items, but the waste can really pile up from filament changes and failed prints. My area doesn’t offer recycling, and I saw that petg and pla aren’t commonly recycled anyway. A $6000 filament recycler is not an option for me either. So what do you do with all those scraps? Thanks ..read more

The word on the street is that Gonis will love this set up, I have never owned one so I can not confirm yay or nay. I also did not have any part of any of this design, I will simply told what to do and did it. I give all "brain" credit to Vintage Reefer, who is pretty awesome person , and while they may have a different opinion on whether or not it should be downloadable for free, that is the part of the one with the Fusion 360 Export folder to decide. Thank you so much Vintage Reefer ...

Here is what I do to keep it simple, use clear epoxy. 98% problems solved before they happen. You, anyone, your neighbor looking through your window can sit and inspect the $1 magnets and if/when they would ever rust, pop that sucker out throw a new one in and move on. Print a housing for the magnet. Elevate the magnet 1-2 mm so epoxy goes under the magnet. You will be able to see air pockets if the epoxy has set for too long as it will lose the viscosity. Use clear plastic for your first...

Customizable Filter Sock Holder For Aquarium Use by D3DPT
See the picture to figure out what piece it is. The idea is you can build what you need to fit it where you need it to fit, hubba hubba. Lots of options, attachments, blah blah. Super Glue Gel green lid gorilla will hold it all together better than the melted layer lines would. If any questions...

You need 1) 3d printer, 2) anger at greedy people and 3) a little bit of trust that there still is good in this world
The title seems salesy. I don't want your money. Everything I can do is free on thingiverse, I am so tired of seeing 9 different prices for the same item on Thingiverse. I am going to spend some time "redefining" what Thingiverese is for reef items. There will not be a bunch of crap. There will be a bunch of crap, and an item that many people have all been able to confirm...

It can be super wide, super thin, super big, small, scale it up, down, fit anywhere.
Frozen Fish Food Thawer Slow & Fast Cage Snap Fit Adjustable Height Length, (you can get it to to work) by D3DPT
you can scale the cages vertically as you wish. it is absolutely scaleable to become larger, you just need to think about what you are doing. if you place all of the items how they will be put together, and scale them wider, it will fit just fine . you will run into a problem when you start...

I feel super bad about not answering a super silly question like what plastic did you use, so I am hoping if someone googles on even better uses this wonderful forum of information to get an idea what plastic to print, PETG is wonderful. No problems, ever. Ok that’s a lie everything has problems but it’s great. ABS works too , I have read , but I’ve never printed it. I do not get any type of compensation for this just hoping to help someone stay away from certain plastics who spend money to...
