I've been animating doing a series of videos for a client and working directly with them through email. However, this client is using an "agency" type service between me and them. Basically, they have a project, send it to the agency, and then it's up to the agency to decide to give me the job or another creator. This is something that happened a while back but since I found this sub, thought I’d ask. I’m just getting started with learning graphic design and thought it’d be cool to get some real world experience by freelancing. I had a gig recently (100$) to design a custom website. It was ~8 pages (excluding boilerplate like contact, terms and conditions, etc) and I drew it up in figma and gave them a demo. They were happy, I was happy, I sent them the file and an invoice.
