Just wondering what the best places were to sell a Prusa Mk3 (with mods and heated enclosure) - I've seen the odd printer on the forums here but it's obviously not the main focus ..read more

It's a voron for about £450 ish. Sovol SV08 350*350*345mm Core-XY 3D Printer www.sovol3d.com looks cool though, different setup from the other corexy printers on the market. Very cheap, would have preferred 2020 extrusions over custom alu but for the price who's to complain ..read more

Has anyone successfully done this? There's one of these mini PCs going on the MM not far from me, might be a better/cheaper option than a PI, or is it better just to stick with the tried & tested? (Was also tempted to see if I could get Octo4A running on an old Nvidia Shield ..read more

Just bought an Ender!

Couple of guys in my team were talking about printers, and one of them found a discount code (KHTAQ), so I've just bought an "Ender-3 S1 Pro" for £195! Been tempted to grab a printer for a while, my son has been hassling to get one, and I've quite fancied one to have a play, but to be honest I thought they were too expensive to justify as a "toy" (£4-500 minimum), and didn't realise they'd come down so much in price. For <£200 for what seems to be a pretty decent one, I felt it would be... Read more ..read more

Have a creality CR6SE, I've had a few problems over time with prints (who hasn't!) but having installed the community firmware now, I'm starting to understand why! I've gone under the glass build plate, tightened, and untightened thing under there to try and get a balance but something's out. The left side of the plate is positive (higher), right negative (lower) which I'm assuming means the x axis on the printer needs... Read more ..read more

Runout sensor and Octoprint

I've still running my Ender CR-6 on the stock firmware, it's suited me pretty well, simple enough, does what I need. However as prints got longer and a bit bigger I setup Octoprint on an OrangePi, only to find that the filament runout sensor now doesn't work, which means I'm much less likely to leave a print running to the end of a role, which is slowing me down! I know you can rewire the runout sensor to the hardware running Octoprint, but I've also started to read that the printer isn't... Read more ..read more

Is anyone else on here printing parts that 'fit' together? If so how successful are you and what method did you use to get the printer dialed in to that level? I've recently printed the Lego Stormtrooper that's on Thingyverse and, lets just say its not got the same tolerances as real Lego lol... I've seen a 'Califlower' test print from Vector 3D but haven't ran it through yet, just wondered what everyone else was doing ..read more

3d printer for small components?

Hi everyone... Im completely new here, and to 3d printing, and I am confused with the varying types of printers available I need to print some small components for a project that I am working on (between 7 to 12mm) They are for a prototype that will ultimately be made from a metallic material, but for R&D purposes the overall strength is not as important as the functionality that I am trying to establish. My understanding that a resin printer would be more appropriate, but I plan to use... Read more ..read more
