I made a custom 7th axis rail for an elephant robotics cobot to move along a rail system of arbitrary length to eventuslly manage all of my printers (and maybe someday other peoples printers). If you want to follow the project I post updates here: https://www.instagram.com/ritual.industries?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==

Just wrapped up a Power Rangers show and made a coin for each of my co stars with their name carved in the back. Simple project but very rewarding for getting back into the hobby.

I'm actually pretty much overall happy with this is printing, but in the future I'd like to get rid of these waves, so I figured I'd ask what is the culprit? Nozzle too close is what googling is leading me to believe but I wanted to make sure. Running CHEP's settings, bed temperature 65, putting temperature 205, wood filament pla but was having the same thing with normal hatchbox pla as well.

Made a 3D printed table. The design contains 4 unique models which can be repeated to get desired size.
Top is made out of cardboard I glued together to get required stiffness.

This was a fun little print. The models came out looking great. This is a finish that is not easy to replicate using other methods. The colours are fused to each other in a way that feels much better than say injection moulding then gluing. It doesn’t look painted, which I really like.
But.
OMG filament changes are slow, roughly 2x the layer time, so printing 3 penguins is not significantly different from printing 1.
Wipe towers are expensive: roughly half of the plastic used was in the wipe tower.
Cardboard spools are the devil. I’ll need to switch to a spindle rather than rollers if I’m ..read more

Took me 2 1/2 weeks to finish but I love how it turned out. Files from Galactic Armory Any thoughts? Or maybe things I could do better next time?
