I'll start by saying that there is nothing like Alaska. Even though the weather was less than perfect it was still a good trip. My wife Nancy had one goal while up there, to catch a Salmon in Alaska. Anyone familiar with fishing Raystown Lake? We’re going to be doing a trip on a houseboat in the coming weeks. Kids enjoy fishing so figured I’d throw in some rods. I was out on the lake today and was having trouble keeping my speed down ,so tried drifting . I tied a 3 way swivel on ,tied 2 ft of line to a half ounce hair jig, and 4ft of line to a husky jerk When I hit bottom I let out another 20ft of line. I snap jigged up several fish on the plug, but this big girl hit the jig and crawler. I didn't have a bunch of time ,but managed to pick up these fish.
