While his name appears only a few times throughout Tolkien’s Legendarium, the elven-smith Celebrimbor is perhaps one of the most important Elven characters in these great tales.
The Noldorin smith who forged the Rings of Power under the direction of Sauron in disguise, Celebrimbor is counted second only to Fëanor in skill at the forge.
But who exactly is Celebrimbor? Whether you know him from the Shadow of War games or perhaps the Rings of Power series, let’s take a look at what Tolkien himself wrote about Celebrimbor.

Fëanor's Life & the Legacy of the Silmarils | Tolkien Character Study
Today, we are looking into one of Tolkien’s most divisive and interesting characters: Fëanor.
While much of Fëanor’s legacy is seen by many as largely negative — he was driven by his pride and extremely self-willed to the point where he was willing to forsake the Blessed Realm, defy the Valar, and lead his people into a hopeless war — he is also described as being the greatest of the Eldar in arts and lore. So, simply put there’s lots to hate but perhaps also lots to love.

Valar Flashcards (Printable) $0.00
If you'd like a little help in remembering who's who of the Valar, these printable flashcards may come in handy!
Please make sure to print these double-sided along the long edge so that the fronts and backs of the cards line up properly! Alternatively, if you cannot print double-sided, please check that the icon images for each card match up when glueing the fronts and backs together as they are not directly aligned in the PDF (in order to allow for double-sided printing).
Have fun and happy reading!

For years, I’ve been dreaming of a relaxing, cozy video-game set in the Shire. Imagine something like Animal Crossing mixed with Stardew Valley, but set in Middle-earth… how perfect might that be? Well, it seems that the folks at Wētā Workshop may have been having similar daydreams. Middle-earth is no stranger to the video-game world, but there hasn’t been anything like Tales of the Shire on the market before.
We’ve had about twenty years of the typical violent, combat-style The Lord of the Rings games dominating the conversation, which is lovely if that’s your cup of tea. But with the introd ..read more

There are several events across the San Diego Comic-con schedule this year that may be of interest to fans of Middle-earth, so I’ve taken the time to gather a list of every event I’m aware of. The convention schedule is quite packed this year, and I know it can be a bit overwhelming! I’ll update this list as the convention draws closer and more schedules become available.
If you are an event host and would like your event included, or if you’ve noticed something I’ve omitted from this list please email kaitlyn@teawithtolkien.com.
Details on all of these events are subject to change. For the mo ..read more
