Just bought a small fishing shack. 4x8 feet. Where should I drop it? Is there anywhere that's awesome for ice fishing? Closer to Winnipeg is preferred but I'll travel a couple of hours if needed. Went to the cabin at Wellman for the weekend. Took the dog for a run to Black Beaver. Although the big lakes were wide open, Black Beaver was froze over. 4" to 2" of ice as you got further out. Took me a couple hrs to catch my limit of rainbow trout last night and about the same this morning. Should have some good smoked fish in the next couple days ..read more
