Would it do any good to use an extension cord and aquarium aerator at the end of my dock under the ice to attract fish? They are attracted to more oxygen rich water, right?
Any one ever try something like this?
Thanks,
Dan

I'm sure somebody has done this. I think I am going to try this season. Should I run a longer one so the fish can "settle" on the bottom. About 4-6 feet of water. My idea is to be able to release if needed or wanted later in the day. I do realize I can only have one legal fish in my possession at one time unless I stop targeting that same species.
Any input greatly appreciated.

how Do you collect and save them?
I’ve heard you simply put about 3” of “sand“ in a 5 gallon bucket and add acorns and they will filter down into the sand by themselves .
do you find it easier to lay a tarp under a tree, rake them in a pile or just pick them up one at a time.
Do I need sand or can I use rich dirt from my garden ..read more

Hey guys,
just figured I’d share a good experience/resource.
had a leg zipper blow out on my climate bibs (well, 90% sure it happened when I was an idiot in a hurry and yanked them from under other gear in the truck bed, and ripped a few teeth off).
out of warranty from striker, but they referred me to a shop saying “they know our gear well, and do good work”.
sent them in earlier this month, and had them back less than 2 weeks later. Robust looking zipper replacement job from them...

I just want to let you all know the original maker of Guster hooks has passed away a few days ago! He is a great friend of mine for over 40 years. His passion for fishing and the outdoors was 2nd to none. Mark was a great family man and was always there to help out any way he could. He contributed greatly to keep the history of Russian hooks alive and even more popular now then it had ever been. BEADED SPOON fishing is now the norm not the exception. He now has the best lakes to fish in...

Great Lakes seeing warmer winters, less ice: A look at the data
The upper Midwest has experienced some of the nation’s strongest winter warming trends since 1970.
www.clickondetroit.com
4Warn Weather – Last year, we experienced the lowest ice levels ever across the Great Lakes since we started keeping records. And the lakes have been unusually ice-free again so far this winter.
This is a scenario that’s likely to occur more often, given that the upper Midwest has experienced some of the nation’s strongest winter...
