It sucks that the only game in the Growlanser series to make it to PAL territories was the fifth game but at least the story of Heritage Of War appears to be completely standalone, requiring no knowledge of the previous games in the series, so I was able to dive straight in. I remember playing a bit of the original Seiken Densetsu 3 and it was a colossal improvement from its predecessor, Secret Of Mana. The game still shows signs of age however and while it definitely aged better than Secret Of Mana, it would certainly benefit from a remake. Fortunately such a thing now exists and it is known as Trials Of Mana.
