Primary school pupils across Tayside were challenged to design a brand-new Dundee Stars tartan in 2023, while the Tartan exhibition was on show at V&A Dundee.  The competition ran for four weeks and over 1,000 entries were submitted. Winners were selected from every school, receiving a family ticket to any Dundee Stars home game.   The winning tartan was designed by Frankie Henry at Tayview Primary School, with Frankie then spending a day working alongside Hayley Scanlan to design a Dundee Stars jersey which has now been presented to the museum.
