Hi, I was hoping for some advice because I'm losing the will to live fixing this! I have sky broadband and have had it connected to a TPLINK-AC2800 for the past year or so with no issues. Recently I have noticed that the internet connected to the 2.4ghz band is very slow (Approx 1mb download!!), but on the 5ghz band it is as advertised (Approx 36mb download). Looking through forums I tried changing the channel on the 2.4ghz range from Auto to a specified one and this worked for a short... Sky Internet to TP-Link Router ..read more

I recently tried to install a 1tb SSD into my Xbox following YT guides but it didn't work...at all. I just kept getting an error code. The USB stick update method wouldn't have any of it. I bought a new Xbox (one x) and decided to try cloning the HDD from that to the original SSD but I cannot for the.life of me work out what's going wrong. The PC no longer recognises the SSD. Has the XBox somehow bricked the SSD? I had the original mechanical one so I added that to th pc and opened up... Xbox HDD help ..read more

Heyo all, thought I'd reach out for advice from you lot as I'm not sure how to progress with my ISP. We're with talktalk - yes, I know, but they've generally been fine in the many years we've had them. We started having connection issues Thursday night, the internet will randomly disconnect. We've had OpenReach out, they've said the cab is fine, the house is fine, but they changed the integrated filter, faceplate and cable to the router. We've had a new router. We've had a talk talk... My mate lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere. He has tried a starlink satellite thing which he says is crap. His neighbour (half a mile away) has a 5g router with an EE unlimited sim card. Mate is asking me about what router to get etc.... I've not got a scooby so am hoping someone one here can give me recommendations. Apparently he has a mesh system in his house that can extend it but I haven't seen it to know what it is. He is sure its a 5G system ..read more

So I'm adding a few things to this, internally. Everything that I'm adding is powered or can be powered over USB, the unit itself is powered with an external connector direct to mains (unless using the batteries). It's very tightly packed inside as you can imagine and really not confident pulling connections and soldering given the lack of access and general age related mess going on (and my lack of ability) ... I've got something designed, but need it thicker at one end than the other, I've lost a day of my life trying to figure it out, I imagine it'll be simple for somebody who knows the software. I tried to design a DXF and import it onto a model but that didn't go well either, illustrator I know, Fusion 360 I don't. Is there anybody out there who can help pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ..read more
