Happy New Year from The Captain!!!!!!! I’m back after some time off to recap 2021. I’m also here to discuss how we can set intentions this year for the changes we want to see as opposed to making resolutions. Thank you so much for being patient with me. This week on the Couch, we continue to explore how trauma impacts the creation of boundaries. I look at Madea's Family Reunion (Yes, a Tyler Perry movie I actually like) as an example this week. I look at damaged and unhealthy boundaries we form as a result of traumatic events. TW: I do discuss some of the plot of the film which includes sexual and physical abuse. I also explore toxic behaviors that can be used to break down our boundaries by unhealthy individuals.
