Noticed some new traffic this AM. I hope you enjoy what you find here.
I’m Gary L. Barnes. Life long Craftsman. Professional since 1974. That’s been a mixture of Knives (mostly folders) and Air Rifle’s. I focused about 25 years on each. I have added a good group of Die Struck Jewelry. Ive made my own tool steel Dies since 1980. I’ve struck the Dies in Silver, Jewelry Grade Aluminum, and German Silver, with Copper as well.
Everybody gets older. I’ve adapted by doing those operations I can at any given time. I have an extremely bad back. With Arthritis, Scoliosis, and Nerve damage, it’s made i ..read more

I got the LCS SK 19 in .22 caliber and it can shoot slugs. Right now I'm running the Javelin 23 grain .218's at 950 fps and I have no problem with accuracy picking off starlings, pigeons and other pest birds at 100 yards plus. The trigger pull long and rolling but it has never been a problem for me shooting. In fact for whatever reason is easier to stay on target during trigger up take. I rarely shoot the rifle in full auto but instead like the semi-auto feature for quick follow up shots at multiple pest birds. I always make it a habit when loading to countersink ammo, so rounds don't co ..read more

There’s been a lot of life in the shop in the past months.

Do you recall this Lion Case? After it remained here for a while, Kelly decided that I should carry it. I’ve done so for at least a year, and I love it. My Pocket keeps it polished. The catch is true and Crisp. The catch on my 35 year old case is also true and clear. I carry them both.

Are you Human? Chances are it’s true.
I like to prepare ahead. And once in a great while, I actually can do that. Oh what a feeling! To make someone happy, with a small gift that you laid back. It’s a wonderful thing.

It was another post offering the custom sale of $50 Handmade Pendants. I’ll verify that it copied. It did not. Try this though![www.airgunrendezvous.com]

These are a few of the New Die Struck Barnes Pieces. I hand carved/engraved the Master Die from which the main body of each piece is constructed. These are a Jewelry Grade Aluminum Alloy. I often use this because it remains bright and clean. Sterling Silver, on the other hand; quickly turns dark with oxide. This Alloy is also quite light. A great mix of features.
1). The Cross. The face of the Cross Pendant is 1 11/16” tall. It’s lower tip hangs 2 3/8” below the top of necklace. Very nice hand forged Bail. $50 Give me $5 towards shipping and I’ll get the rest.
2). The Horse. The face of the Ho ..read more

30-35 years ago, I made a series of Beautiful Damascus Daggers. There was quite a variety, but under one family (Mosaic Pearl with Wire Damascus Blades, and Cold Spun Copper Ferrels - some heavily Gold Plated by Gary).
These were the last of my Grandmother’s years. She had a nice Town Home with an upstairs full Apartment. There was a large yard, garden, Garage, and a good Sized yard storage building (a barn design).
I honestly never could figure how the following transpired ...
My Mother was using the Yard Barn for accessory storage that Winter. Somehow, several boxes and trunks belonging t ..read more
