It could be a bug related to your version of Premiere Pro you may have recently updated too. I would suggest trying to see if its actually at the latest update or to go to “Edit > Preferences > Reset” from the menu. And if those does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling fully. If that does not work for you either, you may need to contact Adobe Support for further assistance. I wish you the best ..read more

The process to trim a video clip from Essential Graphics should be very similiar to trimming a normal video clip. Here is what I found: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/trimming-clips.html And I also found this video too that teaches you the ins and outs of Essential Graphics. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/trimming-clips.html Not sure if you are trying to trim a video clip outside a Sequence or inside it but try selecting the trim tool and then clip the parts of the clip that you want exactly to be cut off. Hope it helps, if there is something I am missing there, you can ..read more

Hi im trying to decide between the 4070 ti super vs radeon 7900 xtx for Premier pro/ after effects. I use 4k h.265 Sony files. I currently use a 2070super im hoping this will be a big jump in performance? I know everyone says CPU is what matters mostly but im hoping through updates adobe has been taking advatange of the GPU more. I have noticed that when I “Render in to out” in PP i can sometimes see 100% gpu usage ..read more

Using Premiere Pro v24.3.0 (build 59) Used to be able to create an edit to the timeline by dragging a clip from the source window to the program monitor. Used to be, an edit type interface popped up with choice to insert, overwrite, etc., the clip to the timeline. Now I get no edit type selection interface and just the “no symbol” attached to the cursor. Was this drag and drop to the program window edit functionality discontinued? If not, how do I activate it? Thanks ..read more

How to trim a video clip within essential graphics?

Its good to know that we can now import video clips inside of essential graphics. However I could not figure out how to trim the video clip inside the essential graphics panel to get the exact point in the footage. The only thing I could do is nest the essential graphics layer and then trim the nested clip. But that defies the whole idea of essential graphics. Any thoughts ..read more

Reply To: Flatten vertical gaps in a multicam sequence without using Simplify Sequence?

Hi Maia, I did try that – unfortunately when I tested flattening the sequence after edits were finished, Premiere didn’t recognize the audio as being linked to the video and only flattened the video, leaving the audio in a limbo state where it marked it as still being part of a multicam sequence and refused to flatten. It did this whether I copy-pasted just the video from the simplified sequence into the multicam, or both the audio and video from the simplified sequence into the multicam. Sadly it looks like the only option in my particular case is to keep moving the media down onto the bottom ..read more

Some have specific requests like frame size, aspect ratio and of course codec format. Past experiences, 2K was the primary frame size and no grading. But I’ve also had to pre-assemble green screens and even close to final edit as a deliverable. Size was never issue, they usually want it on a drive or use Aspera/MediaShuttle ..read more

Hey Robert, What Hector says is very good advice. I would add to that: You may want to consider sending “edl” with the original camera files. Maybe even to a new sequence with only VFX shots in, that has a “sync-blop” front and end, to make sure that everything stays in sync. If you have done reframing etc in the edit, send a MP4 file (with BITC) for the vfx to use as a reference. If vfx do want to work on your edited version, remove all colour grade effects etc, and do the highest resolution out for them – make sure that there are NO proxies than sneaks in to that work-flow. Finally: Ask your ..read more
