Looking for some thoughts:
I had a transplant in 1993 at age 25.
yes it was too young and foolish to do.
it was what was called mini-grafts at a long defunct clinic in nyc.
the work was ok… bad by today’s standards but not a mess.
through rogain and propecia and then duteresride I managed to keep up the fight for a long time.
but now I’m 55, native hair has thinned around the minigrafts and I need to add enough density to look natural.
My constraints are to be US based only.
i would prefer FUE.
it seems this web site is very heavily slanted to mostly overseas doctors.
i am looking for a ..read more

Hello there. I am wondering if I should give in an take medication to help with my transplant, that I was hesitant to take before.
I am at the 5 month mark since I got the transplant (Norwood 3 / 4 - 4,100 grafts done).
And overall I think it is "ok" but my "vertex / crown" is feeling like it's not making much progress and the hair there are very fine and short.
The frontal-temporal portion I just hope for a bit more density.
I am considering going with a topical cream of 3 compounds: Finasteride (~2.5%) + Monoxadil (~5%) + Bimatoprost (0.03%) / Latanoprost (0.1 ..read more

So I had two FUT procedures with Dr. Hasson and as you might expect the results were very good. However, that was about 10 years ago now and I cannot take any medications either oral or topical because it significantly affects libido. I have lost more hair around the top crown area so want to replace that. The front area looks really good. However, the cost difference for transplants in Turkey is very significant compared to Dr. Hasson or the US in general where I live. I probably would do better now with FUE because my scalp was "tight" to begin with and of ..read more

Hi
i would like some more density along the hair line. I’ve always had issues around there but it’s gotten worse with age. I have been on dutasteride and oral minoxidil for a few years and saw pretty good results with hair thickening everywhere but hairline. What do you think?
Who would you recommend? I’m so confused by all of the surgeons because I don’t see a lot of women.
im speaking mostly of the photo where i pull my hair back. I think it’s not as visible when I don’t.
hoping to get some suggestions
Thanks  ..read more

Hi guys, I have gone through multiple hair transplants and have exhausted my donor area. I am still keen to get in more grafts into my hairline which is deficient. I have noted that Dr Mwamba does FIT Farming in which he uses body hair from beard/chest/axillary/pubic/leg to fill up the deficient donor area which then allows him to extract more native donor hair to transplant into the hairline.
Does anyone have any experience with this procedure? Which other doctors are known to do excellent work with body hair transplants? Please kindly advice on the doctors so that I can do some research on b ..read more

Well guess what? I ACTUALLY heard back from the hard to get a hold of Dr. Luis Nader about my consultation. Yeah, he actually responded to my email and said I could do with a hair transplant. The good news is that he said anywhere from 2000-2500 grafts (I'm somewhere between a Norwood 2 and 3) would be best for me and they still have discounts for staying 2 nights in a hotel in McAllen, Texas ($300 reimbursement off transplant) and a 10% discount for paying with half cash and half card. The bad news however is the price and availability. The PDF he sent said it would be $7453 for 2000 grafts o ..read more

Hello people,
I hope You are fine! ❤️
I need advice and help, because I'm very worried, but I don't know if there's a reason. I went for a hair transplant in Turkey but because I washed my hair every day (the first 10 days according to the doctor's recommendation) my scalp was dry and a lot of crusts appear, I'm not talking about scabs, but about mild dandruff... I had bought a spray some time ago which is special only with 100% natural herbs for hair growth and skin soothing but contains about 10% alcohol to dissolve the herbs and accordingly I only used on ninth(9) day spray on my scalp once ..read more
