Hello - Hopefully the wise amongst the forum could help me. I married my ex wife in Nong Phai Amphur 03/05/2011 after 6 years together. I returned to the UK shortly after the marriage, my wife was due to join me March 2012, however the night before her flight she sent me a dreadful text message and disappeared. I went to try and find her including a family home visit, but no joy. I eventually decided to divorce her here in the UK, which was finalised 29/09/2016. In 2019 my now ex wife made contact with me wanting to change her surname back from mine. I had all the documents notarised, translat ..read more

Hi Folks. Getting information for FLR at the moment. Is this the page to start
https://www.gov.uk/government/public...hild-form-flrm
Also been trying to book an appointment with Cardiff VFS in January with their premium service but will not let us do so as the drop downs are showing grey and not working when I sign in. Do we have to complete the application first ? I get confused with the global sites. This is where I have been trying to book the appointment. No phone number I can find either

Hi all,
Just starting my wifes application for ILR which is in May next year. There's a couple of questions come up asking if my wife has any friends in her country of birth? and then asks to name them, where they live and what contact she has with them? The next question is asking if she's part of any social group? she then has to explain what the group is etc etc. I'm just wondering why they want to know these things? If I click 'no' to either question, I then need to explain why she has no friends or why she's not part of a social group. We can put friends names etc but what is classed as ..read more

Hi All, does anybody happen to have any experience of customs/shipping and doing business with suppliers in Thai? Just wondering, at my firm we need to get 220 odd small steel items made to drawings provided (cut, drilled, welded, galvanized etc). Should weigh about 200kg and prob be shipped on a pallet, I would imagine. Is it worth the effort of trying to get it made in Thai and shipped here? or shall we just cough up the rapidly shooting up prices to have it made in the UK?
How long should I expect it to take to arrive and have I got a nightmare of paperwork to faff about with?
Any help much ..read more

Hi, Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My wife has had a leave to remain stamp in her old passport for some 20 years and always carries this passport along with her other old passports as well as her current passport everytime we travel. Last visit to Thailand upon leaving immigration took ages browsing over her old passport (30 minutes) and then told her she needs to get the visa put in her new passport. From what I know she can travel with leave to remain in her old passport no problem. Anyway she would now like to change the leave to remain into her new passport. Does anyone know what t ..read more

Hello everybody, I live in the UK with my Thai GF who is currently on the 5 year route. Our daughter (her daughter) is 22 and finishing uni in Bangkok next summer. We want her to live/work in the UK so I guess the logical thing would be a masters (MSc) here in the UK. She's also doing an IELTS course just now and I guess she will complete that sometime next year, hopefully well before she graduates (no idea how long these things take ?). Problem is, we're looking at £30k odd just for the course fees. We just can't afford anything like that, even before thinking about living expenses.

Hi everyone. I went to Thailand in February this year and it was possible to stay in Thailand for 45 days without a visa. I've just checked on the Thai Embassy website and it says you can only stay for 30 days without a visa. I don't know if this is an old statement that is out of date or not. Can anyone tell me how long you can stay without a visa? I want to go for 45 days at the end of November. Thank you ..read more
