Hi, I am new to this forum, but wanted to get some insight into Thailand. I am interested in investing in rental properties in Thailand with a goal of retiring there at a later date. I know I can only really own a condo, and so I wanted to purchase one. I was wondering the following: I am interested in Bangkok and was wondering if there are any good areas to invest in. Does anyone know any reputable real estate agents? Does anyone know any reputable property managers or management... Investing in Thailand real estate ..read more

Hi there! I am looking for some advice from anyone who may have an answer. I am a UK passport holder/citizen and have a new job based in Bangkok I am due to start later this year. I am in a same sex marriage/civil partnership with my Filipino husband (he has leave to remain in the UK) - what type of visa does he need to come to Thailand with me if he does not have a job there? I see immigration rules do not recognise same sex marriages? Any advice would be greatly appreciated on the... Moving to Thailand for work when in Same Sex Relationship ..read more

Looking at applying for a UK Visitor visa for my friend in Patong to visit UK in August for a few weeks, no problems at my end regard sponsor and accommodation. Asked 2 visa agents in 1 in Bangkok, with an office in Phuket and 1 in Patong, both insisting she need to travel to Bangkok British embassy, but i thought it was done by VFS in Phuket? Plus Bangkok is 12 hours by bus so she will lose 3 days work. 1 agent said they will accompany her to the Embassy but visa fees not included making... I've been banned (2x now) in Nichada Bits and Bobs Marketplace. "You've requested a review to restore your ability to buy and sell on Facebook. You'll be notified about our decision via Support Inbox within 24 hours." That was several days ago lol. No explanation is given and there is no contact info. Is there an alternative location to sell my stuff? I am leaving Thailand. If anyone says FB/META and its owner (Marc F?) are monopolist billionaires who don't care... I have a million questions as I am sure everyone considering moving to Thailand has, however, I will refrain from asking the same ones everyone seems to ask. So feel free to reply with anything you want to share as it will be most appreciated. My specific questions are ones I cannot seem to find answers to anywhere. My wife and 5 children currently live on a homestead and are ready to get out. But we want to still be able to garden and maybe have some chickens. We homeschool but want to make... Plan to move to SEA in 2025, and interested in finding a short-term place to stay (6 months to a year) while I explore longer-term, lower cost options in both Thailand and Philippines (and work on visa issues, etc). I should have $3,000 USD per month to live on, and about $300,000 USD in retirement accounts. I prefer living in a larger place (2 bedrooms is preferred so I have a separate office), fully furnished, real kitchen with full size refrigerator and a real cooktop, and a pool would... Hey Guys, I'm new to the forum, just made an account to get some advice. My name is Christian 34 years old, I'm from the Netherlands. For business i'm moving to Thailand, my company asked me to migrate to Asia and since i've been 20+ times in Thailand I choose to settle down there. My personal preference would be to live in Jomtien, yet the company doesn't agree with that (haha, sadly). It has to be in the city for whatever reason. I do know Bangkok quite well I would say, but never really... Moving to Bangkok, but where ..read more
