Hello,
Growing up in India, I was showering in ghee.. not literally, but we lived close to a cowshed/stable, used to get fresh milk everyday which produced a huge amount of cream. We hardly brought butter/ghee from outside back then and we had more ghee than oil at our home.

Hello,
I am not from south India, but used to eat a lot of idli/dosa for breakfast or dinner few years back. I used to soak everything from scratch and grind and make the batter every weekend and was using whatever regular rice I had at home... sometimes even basmati rice.

How long can you store fermented dosa batter in the fridge ??
I have batter that i grinded last 12 days ago. But we had lots of parties so we ate out most days. I still have lots of batter. Would hate to see it go to waste. After all my wet grinder broke so I took the effort to grind so much batter for 30 minutes. Is it safe to eat ? I think if I make it for breakfast lunch and dinner it should be done ..read more
