There's a new Android policy about not being allowed to delete it modify files on external storage. I suddenly can't delete files on my SD card. In MX player, there's a pop up window that prompts me to select the SD card to grant write permission, but nothing happens when I do so. Deleting is still locked. Even in the ES file explorer, when it prompted me to grant write permission to the external card nothing changes. It still cannot delete anything in the SD card. KIndle fire hd7 tate 2nd gen done all the flashing twrp 2.8.7.0 etc would not come out of fastboot , tried everything I could and eventually got it out with KFHD SRT v1.3.5 chose option 1=Restore-Factory Rooted with SuperSU.apk, then chose option 6=Reboot normally (must have a standard cable connected to work). Hello Everyone! I'm working on a Fire HD 10 (11th gen) and I am experiencing an issue when I create a google doc from within google drive WHILE OFFLINE. At first, the doc seems fine when I work on it, and it appears to save fine. But when I close the document I get the message "Can't retrieve file information. Check your network connection" -- and it is GONE! I can't get back to the document i just closed and there is no sign of it anywhere in g drive. Any ideas why sideloaded books show covers within the Kindle app but NOT on the library and home page of the Kindle HD ? Not a big deal but not as pretty. I convert using Calibre to mobi format. I am trying to watch a movie on my Kindle Fire, using a flash drive. The problem is that the basic DOS file format, which is readable by the Kindle Fire, can not handle files above a certain size. (at least not on any of my flash / thumb drives.) Apparently the Kindle Fire can handle DOS but NOT EX-FAT or NTFS.
