I'm looking for a laptop with a super bright screen for me to used on digital modes and logging for amateur radio. It doesn't need good color accuracy or graphics, and doesn't need a lot of memory or storage. The bright screen is the most important and a touch ability would be nice. It needs to be Windows or Linux capable. I can buy an older used laptop if needed. My budget is $500 or less. Thanks!

Hi, I'm trying to find the best laptop for gaming and coding/rendering/dev. With a budget under £600 (UK), so I won't need to renew it in next 3~ years, okay with used/refurbished laptops, don't consider heavy/big laptops as disadvantage, ideally 15~ inches, anyone can suggest the best option for that?

Hello, I am a therapist intern and am looking to get a laptop to utilize when I start my second clinical placement this summer. I’ve been using an agency affiliated laptop at my current site but my second site is a private practice and I want to have one that I use just for my work as I don’t feel using my personal laptop would be appropriate or safe. Anyways… I have a very limited budget. Around $300…. I’m looking for laptops that are on sale and will do the job of charting and telehealth. So good WiFi. Decent webcam, etc. I realize this is LOW budget so please have grace with me I’m a poor ..read more

Let's just say under $1000 USD. Under $800 is even better. I'll check prices in my country myself.
Are you open to refurbs/used?
No, unless it's a very good/premium laptop with the following criteria.
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Metal build, touchscreen or tablet/flexible hinge functionality is not important (i'll be turning off the touch screen immediately), must have an except ..read more

I’m currently a senior in college about to graduate. I’m looking to get myself a new laptop as a gradation present to myself.
I have always been a Mac user. I had a 2014 Macbook Air for a long time before upgrading to the 2020 Retina version with an Intel i3 core. Honestly, I HATE my new Macbook. It has performance and charging issues, and just has never really ran properly since the day that I got it.
I love Macs because of their sleek design and their compatibility with other devices in the Apple Ecosystem, but I’m willing to explore other options if they fit my needs better. Honestly, I ju ..read more
