Dale Mitchell park after OU has swept conference foes ready to see their team continue their winning ways, but this is baseball. It doesn’t work like that. Losses happen. You can beat the best team in your league 20-0 on a Friday, then lose 1-0 on Saturday. Thats the way it goes in this sport. College Baseball is unique i ..read more

By: Dave Myrick and Rives Mitchell It was time to stretch in Stillwater. Game 3 of a rubber match with hated in-state rival Oklahoma State, series tied one a piece. For Oklahoma, and Coach, Skip Johnson, things were going well. Michael Snyder had just roped a 2-out RBI double to plate an insurance run in the top of the seventh, that gave Oklahoma a 5-3 lead. Nine outs to go, and a very important road-conference series would be in the bag. We will get back to that in a few. Wichita State Earlier in the week, Tuesday to be precise, Oklahoma was looking to snap out of a 3-game loosing streak. Tak ..read more

By: Dave Myrick DBU Oklahoma opened an eight game home-stand Tuesday against the annual mid-week thorn, the Dallas Baptist Patriots. Dating back as far as I can remember, DBU, has played Big12 schools, particularly Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, to the nail. Tuesday was no different as DBU jumped out in front thanks to the long ball in the top of the second inning. In what would be a “johnny all staff” pitching night for Oklahoma, as they would cycle through NINE pitchers, with Jett Lodes getting the start. After striking out the side in the top of the first, Lodes would give up a lead off home ..read more

The Sooners added a blazing fast and productive wide receiver from Purdue who “made some phenomenal catches” for the Boilermakers in 2023. JOHN E. HOOVER In this story: OKLAHOMA SOONERS Did Oklahoma just land another Andrel Anthony? A wide receiver who didn’t get a ton of action at the beginning of his career in the Big Ten Conference but used his elite speed to create head-turning plays — sounds like Anthony, who left Michigan to become a Sooner last year. It also sounds like Deion Burks, who left Purdue to don the Crimson and Cream this year. “I can tell you that, anecdotally, coach (Ryan ..read more
