BROKEN ARROW, OK — In addition to being one of the nation’s best tight ends in the 2025 recruiting class, credit Da’Saahn Brame for his organization and time management skills. During a trip to Tulsa last weekend to play in a 7-on-7 tournament, he added a stopover in Norman — for an unofficial visit to see Brent Venables and Oklahoma. And? “It was good,” Brame told AllSooners. “Went down this past Thursday for spring practice. It was good.” Brame is a consensus 4-star tight end from Derby, KS. At 6-foot-6 and 235 pounds, Brame is rated as the No. 3 tight end in the nation by ESPN, No. 4 by 247 ..read more

OU won the game 12-1 in five innings, the Sooners’ 17th run-rule of the year. NORMAN — After dealing with a lack of depth at the cornerback position in 2023, Brent Venables knew that Oklahoma needed to add to its defensive back rotation going into the SEC. The Sooners brought in veteran corner and former San Diego State standout Dez Malone over the offseason, giving Jay Valai another big, experienced playmaker on the back end. Listed at 6-feet-tall and 196 pounds, Malone was a two-time All-Mountain West Honorable Mention during his four-year career with the Aztecs. Oklahoma softball coach Patty Gasso on Tuesday described catcher Kinzie Hansen as “day-to-day” after Hansen missed almost all of last week’s five games with an injury. At her weekly press conference from the Marita Hynes Field team room, Gasso described the injury as a “a little bit of a tweak in the knee that we don't want to mess around with right now. So we're just kind of playing it very cautiously." Hansen, a senior from Norco, CA, was voted alongside Tiare Jennings a co-captain prior to this season. BROKEN ARROW, OK — There’s a lot that Chase Loftin likes about Oklahoma. “The first thing that sticks out to me is they’re my first offer,” Loftin said. “So taking a shot on me is a big deal.” That was way back in June 2023, prior to his junior season at Omaha’s Millard South High School, when he caught 34 passes for 440 yards and six touchdowns — numbers similar to his sophomore season, when he caught 39 passes for 577 yards and five TDs. In his two varsity seasons so far, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound Loftin has 73 receptions for 1,017 yards (13.9 yards per catch) and has scored 11 touchdowns, acc ..read more
