The Oklahoma Sooners have had the week to rest after their series sweep of Houston. Now, they are off to Orlando to play the UCF Knights this weekend. UCF brings in one of the best offenses in the country. They rank No. 38 in the nation in batting average, are tied for No. 62 in scoring and are No. 84 in on-base percentage. That means the Oklahoma pitching staff has to be on their “A” game. The Knights also don’t strikeout a lot, so the Sooners defense will have to be on point. Patty Gasso spoke about the challenges of UCF’s offense. “They’ve got power, they’ve got speed, they’ve got slappers ..read more

While their offense and elite defense get the headlines, their consistency is one of the most important things to the Oklahoma Sooners’ historic run. You rarely, if ever, see an off-game from the team. This year has been a little different. There have been several games that have left fans scratching their heads and not recognizing the team on the diamond. Still, they are 42-4 and No. 2 in the nation. So, it’s not like they’ve fallen off, they’ve just not been as consistent as in years past. Patty Gasso talked about how they need to find that before postseason play starts. “I think we just wan ..read more

Heading into the offseason, the Oklahoma Sooners weren’t really in the market to find a wide receiver in the transfer portal. They had a lot of depth returning despite the loss of Drake Stoops and had a nice group of signees inked in the early signing period. But they weren’t past adding a player if it made sense. That’s exactly what happened when Deion Burks entered his name into the portal. Oklahoma won out in his recruitment and he’s been turning heads since arriving in Norman. Some even believe he could be the next star wide receiver for the Sooners. But that isn’t coming only from inside ..read more

The Oklahoma Sooners are off to a great start with the 2025 recruiting class. The Sooners have already landed 13 commitments, and we haven’t even hit summer yet. This is expected to be the smallest class since Brent Venables took over, which means there aren’t many spots left. But they’re still working to land several more blue-chip prospects. On Tuesday, Rivals national recruiting director and rankings analyst Adam Friedman issued a Futurecast favoring the Sooners for Kole Briehler. Kole Briehler is the No. 18 defensive line in 2025, according to Rivals, and the No. 7 player in the state of N ..read more
