Hi Guys,
I need your help choosing from the below laptop been offered today, as the one they had is not available now and the below is the model they have where i don't have to pay upgrade fee.
I only need it for General use , web browsing, emails, internet, excel sheet and word document.
I had Gadget insurance with D&G and my laptop from the corner broke and the screen would not come , if I hold it then it would work, however I gave it for repair through insurance and they could not...

So I'm looking at getting a decent laptop for work which will consist on some pretty intensive programming workloads requiring a decent CPU, all the rams etc. I was initially looking at the ThinkPad P16s with decent specs:
- Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U
- 64gb ram
- No GPU (not really an issue)
The main let-down here is that the screen is only 1920x1200 60hz which okay but not great, and I now detest using 60hz displays.
For a lower cost I can get a Lenovo Legion. My main concern with the Legion is...

I'm considering a laptop as not having one and relying on a handheld is a bit of a pain for general tasks.
I want an all rounder, one that could play games to some degree but it doesn't have to be gaming focus.
Nice screen
Good build quality
16gb ram?
Good performance that will handle most tasks.
WiFi 6
Is £500 realistic ?
Gaming isn't as much a priority as I do have my handheld and can also stream my desktop remotely now and it works so well I don't necessarily need the grunt onboard...

###Not a For-Sale thread!!!###
I'm selling this locally, and asking £500. It's an Acer Nitro 5 - i5 115400H, RTX3050, 32GB DDR4, 512GB M.2, 2TB HDD. Immaculate condition (used with external monitor, mouse and keyboard 99% of its life. No wear on palmrest, keyboard or trackpad), fresh Win 11 install, fully updated. Apart from getting the usual scam messages, and desultory offers, there's not any interest. Am I over-pricing it? I'd try the MM, but I've fallen foul of the post...

Probably got my laptop hunt sorted (XMG Neo 16 e23 4090, will be adding the water cooling option for docked at least).
Looking around and trying to get my head around how I get all my existing peripherals into in. Preferably with just the 1 TB4 plug if I can manage it.
Am I right in thinking:
1) a thunderbolt 4 hub (like club 3D CSV-1580, OWC Thunderbolt 4, etc) take the spare USB from that, run it to a USB hub
2) keyboard/mouse etc (sadly a USB network port might be needed here too)...

I'm looking for a rival to the macbook air. Mainly because i want to stick with windows, or this would have been a really easy choice!
I'm not in the apple ecosystem at all , so the benefits of that also don't apply.
I'm looking for something that's reasonably light, good on battery life, has a decent screen, and won't get too hot - because i want to be able to use it actually on my lap.
I've been looking at the Thinkpad T series (Maybe a Gen 2 or Gen 3) and also Dell Latitudes (5440) -...

Looking for something for basic browsing and windows tasks - MS office etc. No gaming or editing. Not buying in the UK, but narrowed it down to two Lenovos - Ideapad Slim 5i and Thinkbook 16. The prices are pretty much the same (with Thinkbook being marginally cheaper), but thinkbook seems to have better specs - faster ram, 13th gen intel vs 12th gen. The downside seems to be the ideapad having a better camera and arguably a better battery (though doesn't seem like much). I can't tell though...
