I recently upgraded my personal MacBook M2 Air to a MBP 14" M3 Pro. The Air was great but I shouldn't have gone with 8GB ram. My work computer is a PC. Sometimes, when I travel I just take my MB and use Citrix. My work is not graphic/video intensive and I certainly don't need the MBP, but I have lots of things I don't need. So do the Macbooks prioritize using Magsafe if it's plugged in, if both Magsafe and Thunderbolt are both plugged in? Or how does that work? Would it be better to have the magsafe plugged in vs just letting it charge via the Thunderbolt port? Or Does it matter at all ..read more

Hello all, Would appreciate some help from your experience, I searched but couldn't make a decision yet. I own a MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 laptop (16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 processer). I just got an M3 Pro Pro, having finally upgraded from a 2014 Air. Though perhaps minor to some people, maybe the biggest downgrade in the design of the two computers is that on the M3, that little notch cut out of the bottom case of the laptop so that you can easily stick a finger in there and open it no longer functions as it should and did on my 2014 Air.
