Naoya Matsumoto’s Kaiju No. 8 manga is going strong, and the anime adaptation has been well received thus far. To keep that momentum going, the June issue of Shueisha’s Saikyo Jump magazine announced plans for a spinoff manga by Kizuku Watanabe (Koro Teacher Quest!). The spinoff will be titled Kaiju No. 8 Relax, and it’s set to kick off when the next issue of Saikyo Jump hits stands in Japan on June 4, 2024. This isn’t the first spinoff for the series. Shout! Studios is getting ready to let loose with a classic anime on digital. The distributor announced plans to bring Speed Racer and the original Japanese version, Mach GoGoGo, to video-on-demand on “all major digital platforms” on June 1, 2024. The 52-episode Speed Racer anime will be available in English-dubbed form and Mach GoGoGo will be available with the original Japanese language audio on the same day.
