How does traces of ivermectin in manure affect the biology of the compost pile? I understand it is water soluble. Is there a half-life to ivermectin and other vermifuge medications? I have been having difficulty getting my compost pile(consisting of green, brown and high nitrogen(manure) to come up to temperature. Would the ivermectin be the culprit? Thanks in advance for any recommendations ..read more

I intend to put the clippings in an Aerogarden hydroponic system. What kind of cloning gel or etc. would you recommend for this ..read more

Hi Raja,
I can talk about the type of internal lighting to be used in your garden. I own an indoor garden where I mostly cultivate sleepy-yuda for my research and random vegetables during winter. Recently my old grow lights wore out, and I got this Galaxyhydro series 1000w LED grow light after doing some research. I choose it because it had the power that I was looking for, was affordable and at that time I was not doing my lab research. So instead of making a spreadsheet, I had time to observe the product and made some research on it.

When you start growing your own weed, one of the first things you learn is the importance of the environment in your grow room. In order to grow a quality crop, you must have control over the temperature and humidity levels that your plants are exposed to throughout their life cycle. This means you need to have the right lighting, fans for ventilation, watering systems, and they all need to be in sync with each other 24 hours a day. Sound complicated? Don’t worry – with the right equipment, it is actually very simple and easy to maintain the perfect environment for your grow op ..read more

LED grow lights have made it very easy to simulate daylight and they are now employed by growers around the world. LEDs have no doubt made a key resurgence in this digital age of farming. They are energy conservative compared to the outdated HID growing lights which mean they cost less to run. However, full spectrum LED grow lights contain diodes that emit light which is actively photosynthetic. This implies that, LEDs should not be used during the period plants are meant to believe it is night time, else you stand the chance of facing the hazards it brings on the health of your plan ..read more
