Well,after going on a Ruger forum and finding alot of people having my problems,I found out what was wrong.Apparently Ruger has made some extractor arms that did not take to the heat treating,according to a Ruger tech,so you need to replace the extractor or tune it,and that's what I did,tuned it.I traced the extractor arm on paper to have a starting point,and bent the extractor arm with it's natural bend until it was about 2mm more bent than before.I also cleaned alot of gunk from between... I recently acquired a C96 in 30 Mauser. After detail cleaning I headed to the range with some 30 Mauser and 30 Luger ammo, both 85/86gr FMJ. The 30 Mauser ammo is commercial but probably 50+ years old, the Luger looked like old surplus and was Berdan Primed. Long and short, gun fired, failed to extract, cycle, reload or cock. 10 rounds, same result. One 30 Mauser case had cracked neck but no signs of overpressure. So I am not a long time gun guy or LEO but not a newb either and don't have many people to talk to face to face who know this stuff.
