Hello all - This is my first post to the Walther Forum, but I am a member and Senior Admin to several other Forums. So, I have just purchased a preowned PPK/s in .380. Serial number AB155xxx. I am trying to date the manufacture of this pistol and where it was made. I'm still waiting out the 3 day wait period, so I do not have it yet in hand. I called the gun shop and they told me that it was made in Germany, but from what i understand and have read on the Internet, this pistol was imported... New to Walthers ..read more

These are pics of it. I found a post on another site of a pistol same PP .32 with 1962 manufacturer date and same HK mark on import strap and crossed out ByP. Do I understand correctly this is a West German police issued piece that was sold to civilian market then sold to American importer American HK of Virgiana as shown sometime during or after 1968 given the import marking related law enactment of that year? Can see the gun also has Made in W Germany print/stamp of same style/coloring... 1966 PP .32 with HK import print ..read more

I found some nice repro grips on eBay for $17.00. They are more solid than the other repros I bought. See comparison pictures. They do not come with the imbedded threaded nut. The seller is Hoboteka and they are located in Ukraine ..read more

Hello everyone, this is my PP .380, Serial number 15779 A On the slide there's just an “eagle/N”, no serial number and no “made in west Germany” under the Walther mark. On the inside of the slide, on the opposite side than the ejection port, the last three numbers of the serial number are missing and you can see scrape marks, so the slide may have been replaced (??). Two “eagle/N”s are visible on the barrel, one of them on the barrel seat (visible through the ejection port). There is no... walther PP .380 date of production ..read more

I was told on another forum this is a Luftwaffe PPK. My Father bought or traded into it back in the '50s. The original grip was broken when he got it so he bought a white Frantzite grip for it. I found a more appropriate reproduction grip made from Bakelite online (made in the Netherlands I believe). It does have a issue. It wouldn't feed and when I took the gun apart I noticed the safety plunger detent was broken. I bought a new (used) one from Numrich but it's longer than the original... 1940 Luftwaffe PPK ..read more

Does anyone have information on a walther PP like this one that sold at Hermann Historica last year? (Turkish Tughra inscribed on slide)

Hey guys, so I came across this old listing on Hermann Historica and I was curious if anyone might have info on these walther pp markings. The s/n date would be late 1938/early 1939. From some research, the symbol on the left side looks just like the Tughra of the last Ottoman ruler, Mehmet VI, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me being that the Ottoman empire ended before the Walther PP was ever produced. I have just purchased a PP Super (Waiting for it to arrive). I think it is an early example with a serial number 129xx Only 5 digits and no prefix. Built in West Germany ULM/DO. Now after reading the FAQs and other searches, I can't find a list that is for a five digit serial number for this PP. Excited to see how it shoots being a caliber that I don't have 9x18 which I believe is the Russian 9mm. I have a PP in 32, a PPK and PPKS in 380 and a PPKS in 22. Any insight would be greatly... So I have the fugly spawn of a Ulm PPK/S and a S&W PPK/S on its way to me. Having never seen one in the States (though I know that CAI imported some) I had to strike when presented a fair opportunity to add one to my collection. What I have learned about this pistol is minimal. Very little info is available online and there is only a small paragraph in my books detailing that it was produced in 2000 by FEG with calibers being .22, 7.65, and .380. Can anyone else shed any light on this... Walther PPK/E ..read more
