I picked up the barrel and the comp last week from a local seller for a good price ($150). Started testing it yesterday with the comp. Noticeably less recoil (or at least, less muzzle flip). Noticeably faster double taps. Problem is about every five rounds I get a stovepipe FTE. Took the comp off and it runs fine. Put it back on and stovepipes return. Put the new P226 Legion SAO through its paces today with a shake down session. I shot 300 rounds of S&B, 124 grain, FMJ at 1181 f/s and 384 f/lbs. Started out with slow fire at 7, 10, and 15 yards and moved through transitional drills. As I stated in my previous post, this Legion still sits so much better in the hand than my P225 Navy (1st gen with no rail) and even better than my P320 AXG. Been looking at several LGSs for years for a decent P245. Now after my state's brilliant 10-day waiting period, I'm now in receipt of this P245 with five mags to boot. Cleaned, lubed and installed an SRT and OMG what a difference. Trigger was already smooth but the SRT put the cherry on top. Can't wait to hit some steel plates with it!
