Dutchess County DA is purging pistol licensees. Anyone's name that appears in their database for any reason, and also has a pistol license is getting a visit from the Sheriff. The Sheriff serves the dreaded letter that contains the temporary suspension and invites the licensee to a hearing. The are using the good moral character clause in the law. In Suffolk County, if someone has a Business Carry permit, and they want to get a CCW, will the Business Carry permit be removed by SCPD? I plan to sell one of my handguns on a gun website soon. I visited the Westchester County permit office for the amendment form (in duplicate) that needs to be submitted in order to remove a gun from my permit. They also said it must go through an FFL and I must submit proof to them with the amendment forms. I never asked what "proof" was.
