Again turning to the gun fundis on here. My son bought the pistol mentioned in the title at a private show in the US and I was wondering if someone can refer me to books or websites worth reading to get more info regarding the serial no etc. Google only tells me the pistol was made by Remington during WWII and they apparently made over a million of them for the war effort. I thought it was only Colt's made and used in WWII but apparently not. On the pistol slide is the wording "United States Property M1911 A1 US ARMY" and there is a serial no and some other strange markings on the receiver t ..read more

Good evening Would like to hear thoughts on above choices. Will be Edc weapon, won't be used for competitions and see 10 000 through it. Glock pro's - ease of spares, holsters and accessories Beretta - probably cheapest of 3 Tp9 Sc - Flavour of year? Not sure about reliability and aftersales support Will be only handgun in household so compatibility with other weapons not issue at moment. Also keen on MC9 - but that is micro compact and different class then above, but same reservations as Tp9 Sc Regards Louis ..read more

Factory tour of Beretta's Gardone facility - Beretta 92A1s on the line (suprised that they are still manufacturing this model). 1200 to 1300 Beretta 92s produced a day - nice! And you get the definitive answer as to what the small blue cup in the Beretta box is used for ..read more

My name's Naz and I like revolvers. For whatever reason I prefer carrying a revolver. However, the last time I shot my revolver was last September. Mostly shooting my semi autos lately, maybe 2k rounds since September. Took my Rossi snub .38 to the range yesterday and my groups at 6m looked like I was pattern ing a shot gun. Very humbling but also motivated me to shoot my revolvers more. Attached Images 20240207_090650.jpg (32.1 KB ..read more

Evening! Are there by any chance any Canik SFX Pro owners in Cape Town that would be willing to assist me in having a holster made? I contacted Sniper in Paarden Eiland, they don't have a mold for it yet and I rarely go to CT. I know it's asking a lot but I'm willing to buy anyone who can help a holster from them as well. EDC - sacrilege thoughts

So I have this sacrilege thought come to me over the holiday period... Let's jump straight to it, I am actually considering acquiring a Ruger LCPII and potentially letting go (swopping) it for a G43 I have.. Why? I have through the years moved to carrying a G26 99% of the time, which G26 (and for that matter the 43 as well) I have also thought of swopping for a G43X/P365/Hellcat. But these just does not make sense to me, yet. I have experience for my body-type, carrying style and clothing style, that the thickness of the G26/G43, does not make that much of a difference, whereas the longer gri ..read more
